Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

It’s a winter wonderland outside and kids love to explore the snow!  If possible, take little kids outside to play in the snow.  Let them touch, explore and build things with snow.  Make snow sculptures with snow, twigs, and leaves.  Too cold to go outside?  Then bring the snow INSIDE!  Use large tubs, totes or bowls and bring snow inside for kids to play with and explore.  Provide cups, spoons and other tools for exploration.  Let kids make their own mini snowmen or snow sculptures, provide fun nature objects to decorate them with.

Crafts
After kids are done exploring the snow try one, or several, of the following crafts.

Winter Sun Catcher

Winter Snow Globe

Glittery Window Clings

Snacks
When it’s time for snacks try one of these fun winter treats that the kids can help make themselves!

Sweet Tortilla Snowflakes

Snowman on a Stick

Jolly Snowman Bread
